Re: Head and Neck Restraints
Everyone has an opinion on this subject and should be able to make their own decisions, but life in the ol USA isn't like that anymore. Safety requirements are put in to primarily protect SCCA or what ever the sanctioning body is. I used to do safety tech for kart racing. We raced on sprint tracks ...

Re: Aim Mychron3 Dash Data Logger
My experience with Mychron is from karting. They are nice products and easy to set up and use. The thing that really did it for me was their customer service. I have seen nothing that matches it in any industry.

Re: Bulb for Trouble Light
The florescent bulbs are a lot more shock resistant I have used these bulbs with a lot of success. I have knocked base off the bulb and put it back on and it still worked. My brother used on and it died the first night. Have I been lucky, or has he been unlucky? They are getting common enough that ...

Re: Master Cylinder Issues .... again
If you have a good parts place in town you may be able to take the seals in and get what you need by letting them know your bore size. I have done that when rebuilding brakes on my kart when I did not have time to get to a kart shop

Solo Racing on Wind Tunnel with Dave Dispain
In case any one is interested. Last week Dave spoke of the most popular form of racing that no one knows about. SOLO. He said this weeks show 9/21 will take a look at Solo racing. Hopefully it will be good exposure for Solo and maybe SCCA as well.

Re: Lewis Hamilton Penalty
I was blown away when I found out about the penalty. It was a great finish to a race. Kimi clearly failed to give Hamilton a lane to race in and it resulted in Hamilton doing off track. Hamilton did choose the asphalt instead of grass when going off, to his advantage. He came back on and gave the sp...

Re: FV Driving Technique Books
The last thing I my brother tells me before I pull on to the track is to have fun. Of course then he points at his head to remind me to use mine. That helps towards goals 1 and 2.

You should contact the administrator. I suspect you can. I know Kartgraphix (Kevin W.) is going through this right now as he just sold the company that the log on refer to

Re: The Fuel Problem
Each racer would fill his cart with fuel. Then they all lined up ..... and moved through the fuel pumping station. Each tank would get sucked out into a big reservoir and then refilled from the same reservoir. Competitors were "encouraged to put in some good stuff so they all could go fast!&qu...

Re: Latest Fastrac
As far as I know there is no spec for the angle of the stops so if they are in the way simply heat and bend them out of the way. It is always interesting how the accepted meaning of the rule differs from what is in print. The GCR says "The rubber portion only of the bump stop may be altered or...

Re: New HANS device info
On the device the patent numbers are 4638510 and 6009566. The first granted in 1990 (filed 1985) and the 2nd granted in 2001 (filed 1999). Typically they are protected for 17 years from issue. Jim My memory, which could easily be wrong, on an electronic product I have a patent for was that the pate...

Re: New HANS device info
Any idea when they patented the device. By law it had to be done within the first year the device was shown to anyone outside the company. I think most patents can not be extended beyond about 15 years. I would suspect they have used up 2/3rds or more of their patent. It will not be that far off whe...
