Re: WTB: Trailing Arms
I have a jig and all the templates for the parts to be flame cut I would like to sell. I don't have a Caracal any more. We made ours out of round tube (4130) had then normalized and heat treated to R35 per our welding shop recommendation (long time racer).

Is the clutch new? Have you taken the clips out? Are you trying to shift with or without the engine running?

Re: Doubling up FV's in a 20' Trailer
Mike and I ran two cars out of a 20ft. trailer for years. Just be careful not to over load the trailer! Remember most 20fters are entry level trailers and have about a 3000lbs cargo capacity. Most come with 205/75-14 or 15 tires that have a 2150 lbs capacity at full pressure. So 2 vee's @ 850lbs eac...

Re: Extended sump question
The GCR doesn't limit the sump except for capacity, it could be a 10X10 lump of lead with a 250cc capacity and it would be legal.

Re: Headrest location and material
I have mine bolted to the body work. I am 6'1" and the fire wall is way to low for a head rest. I will be cutting into the body work to move my head rest rearward and putting a new seat belt mount in so I can use a HANS. I think most people will find they sit to upright to mount a head rest to ...

Several additives that contain the "proper" type of zinc are GM Oil Treatment and STP oil Treatment in the red bottle for 4 cylinder engines. There is a good thread on oil on the Apex Speed site. Dave PS Fleet Farm stores in the Minnesota -Wisconsin areas carry Amsoil (not that I use it)

Re: Header specs
Lee, you would be better off calling Mike Beaumia and purchasing a set. He has sent hours fitting tubes to cars, and then sends them out to be scanned and bent on a CNC bender. I only have 1 weld in my set. Mike has spent hours on the dyno at Noble's working on lengths and collector configurations. ...

Re: Spec Fuel at Nationals
Sorry that is a stupid IDEA! You are limited by Federal and state law as to the amount of fuel you can transport. The fine are heavy and open you up to many ticketable offences. This is especially true is you are stupid enough to have any sticker on your trailer or tow vehicle, that makes you a comm...

Not helping matters, I heard a rumor that Ohio will be enforcing the age limit on drivers. Like New York drivers will have to be 18 to race in the state.
