Last chance for the Adams parts. No one has expressed any serious interest so in a month or so whatever is still here goes to the dump. Part are all new, not even fully installed on a frame.

Adams Aero Parts
Parting out a 1989 Adams Aero kit; never assembled. Just about everything (shocks, gages, suspension bits, exhaust system, bodywork, etc.) is available from kit except for frame, steering wheel and fire system. Note that upper bodywork has been sectioned at the roll hoop so is now in two pieces. I'm...

Re: Brake question of the month
One aspect of pedal geometry that needs to be considered is WHERE your foot presses on the pedal, as this will define the actual geometry of how your foot pressure is applied to the master cylinders...

Re: Looking for part...
I think Dietmar had this in mind when he suggested you check the wheel cylinders for leaks, but he didn't mention it: chances are you HAVE some rust in the wheel cylinders, and if you don't have any leaks now, you will soon. You have to take them apart and look inside. Not that big an effort. You wi...

Re: Data?
Ray is correct. I personally have taken John's first course three times. I will be taking the advanced class again as soon as I can. Somehow this doesn't seem fair to John Block, but these are HIS rules, and who am I to complain about that

Scott has already started another thread on this same subject, but I'll add my thoughts here. Several other FV drivers have already taken one of John's classes/webinars, and hopefully they will add their endorsements as well. The 'bang for the buck' here is amazing, and I don't mean just what John i...

Re: Inner Beam bushings - Height adjuster
Barry, I recently tried to purchase some of those bushings pictured from CIP1. Apparently those that are pictured are no longer available - I ordered 8 of those and got 1 that looked like the picture and 3 others that were slightly different. The different ones were narrower, had a larger ID, and no...

Re: Air filter size
Dietmar is correct. A few years back, I was dynoing an engine that had the low profile K&N air cleaner and switched to the more typical tall version and saw an immediate and noticeable HP improvement. Flow testing prior to the dyno session alerted me to the fact that the low profile filter might...

I definitely agree with Bruce. I haven't used a fuse before and have been lucky. BUT, one short in the wrong place is going to be a bit pricey and a definite inconvenience. So I'm going with a single in-line style fuse; small and inexpensive. Though Bruce does have a good point about using multiple ...

One of the great things about John's seminars are the questions that are raised by the attendees; each seminar is a bit different due to this. The basic content is always there, but each session allows time for questions that delve into greater detail of the course material or sometimes beyond the c...

Jstoezel, Just curious, but do you have any other pics of the Rapier(?) car, especially the rear suspension? From the pic you posted, it looks like they have an interesting set-up - something I don't recall seeing before... I agree with Brian H. about the rear of the car. It looks like the engine an...

Re: "skid" plates
Yes, those large aluminum sumps can be a problem. Depending on how much interference there is, you can grind off a small amount of material, say 1/8" or so without a problem or you can cut off a larger amount and have a piece of aluminum welded on.

Re: Ride Height Adjuster Problems!!!
I share your pain on installing the springs. A solution that worked well for me was to install all the individual leaves in order but the middle one. This allowed me to get the order correct and then I installed the middle one - worked quite well. As for the other problems, if you have a tap set, yo...
