Re: WHEEL BALANCER

I use a front drum as is, and my local shops have no problems balancing 5 wide rims. You should just make sure the drum with wheel lugs is in balance first.

Re: My letter about the FV spec intake

As Steve Davis has stated, the off-line input to the committee has been quite strongly in favor of continuing our research/evaluation of a spec. manifold. Are we researching/evaluating and possibly going to go with a Spec Manifold based on off line input??? I really find it curious that most of the...

Re: Refinishing rear springs

Before you paint, you should use “Prep Solvent" on the metal, most car supply stores or auto paint supply stores will have it. Soap is ok for removing grease, but some soap will leave a film. If you leave any grease or film on the part... the paint or primer will not bond well to the metal and ...

Re: January meeting

FIX what is broken… it’s not the manifolds! It’s the rules!!!! Does anyone really believe that racers, builders or suppliers … will not try and find a way to modify a Spec Manifold to get that extra 1/10 of a HP over everyone else? A Spec Manifold is a waste of time and money! Lets support the guys...

Re: Frame transport

Bus... might sound crazy, but I've shipped car body parts via Grey Hound and it's very inexpensive (doors, hoods, bumpers & fenders!!!). A frame might be too tall, but if you put it on it's side it might fit. They do not offer door to door, you'll have to take it to and pick it up from a bus ter...

Protoform formula vees use a good scoop that can be mounted on most Vees. Good for both cool air intake and oil cooling applications.

Re: How to put a value on a box van?

With all due respect how are you better off taking $2,000 cash for professional services, when some one might be willing to give you an asset worth $3,000 cash?

I'm in Finance, and in an industry that we do this all day... asset valuations, :P The value would be what someone is will to pay for it. Kelly Blue Book or NADA are great guides, but that isn't always a great indicator of current market conditions... check out our forum and the prices people are tr...

Vee Sport and SR Racing can supply you with all the fitting, masters and braided lines you'll need, metric solid lines can be picked up at any auto parts store. I run one solid line from the front of the car to the rear. It is attached to the master cylinder via a braided line in front and a tee in ...

Steve at Vee Sport 203-778-2337 sells a really trick setup for attaching the shift linkage to the hockey stick. It does require drilling the hockey stick. The set up makes swapping between various transaxles easy and offers additional adjustability.

I purchased these on e-bay, hard to beat the price $31.81 including shipping for both types. The locking ratchet comes in real handy when trying to re-install snap rings, they are 16", very heavy duty and include spare tips. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v509/taztool/SNAP%20RING%20PLIERS/10...

Re: Drivers Schools

The SCCA schools are great, and if your lucky the instructors you get will be Vee drivers! One tip... if you do not have a crew... you should rent a car for school. It increases your costs, but its still about 1/3 the costs of a professional school.
