Re: Spec Tire Survey Results
I'm with GT6, let's make the Hoosier 55 our 'spec" tire for the intial season. I think it would be something the majority could agree with, with no loss of performance. We could then determine compound for future seasons.

Got this e-mail to-day Dave Hi Dave, I was clicking thru the Samba and remembered that you asked about the Type4 engine gasket set being the same for yhe 912E. But I found your site and was very impressed with the work you are doing with FV cars. My brother and I had a lot of fun back in the day wit...

Elgin checked out my worn cam & lifters. He said my lifters were soft, about 35 Rc. Said thats about what the cams are for hardness. Lifters should be approx 50 Rc. So I've got two new (re-ground) cams and two sets of new lifters . Two engines to re-build.

Cam Wear
Just discoverd the cause of low power ( really low, about 35 hp on the dyno). Turns out the valves are only opening about .150". haven't cracked it open but I'm thinking the cam is worn. Probably only has about two seasons on it. We always used Mobil 1 synthetic street oil. Now I'm questioning ...

Citation Primaries
I have this set of primaries I would like to get rid of. They came with a buch of parts from Jim Smalley and I know he had a Citation at some point so I think they are from that car. Asking $60 plus shipping. Or best offer. http://s946.photobucket.com/albums/ad310/dsatterley/ Dave DDC Racing 734-697...

Shipping each way to me in Michigan would be about $175. I do regional & vintage re-builds.

Re: Official FV Discussion: SCCA Runoffs 2010
Looking at Ray's & greg's videos, they both spun in the carousel before I even got there on lap 3 so there was something else that made the track slippery.

Re: Official FV Discussion: SCCA Runoffs 2010
Sorry for dumping the oil in turn 8 and screwing up the race for so many drivers. My intention was to stay out of trouble at my first runoffs but somehow trouble found me. Entering turn eight I got in line with a couple of cars ahead, braked at about the 250 mark but a brake problem that occured in ...
