Spec manifolds?
I don't mean to start a huge uprising amoung the FV community, but I believe manifold prices are bordering on silly. I know the amount of effort and development needed to create a top level manifold, but isn't there a way we can cut cost by having an outside company create an aftermarket spec manifo...

I know what you guys mean by getting older. Its hard staying up past 3am for me anymore, and I can only eat 10lbs of food any more at a buffet without gaining a pound. Man being 22 is difficult

Re: Custom Seat Question
I wouldn't do the expandable foam. Can be a nightmare. You can build your own bead seat like pennon sells for the cost of a garbage bag, expoy resin, and bean bag beads. Its cheaper than the foam too. http://www.apexspeed.com/forums/showthr ... =bead+seat

Re: Overflow catch can
i have a caracal C, and I use an old CRC brake cleaner can. Once you let all the pressure you can pry the top off with a screw driver. Its steel so if you want it to look nice you can sand and paint it what ever color you want.

"secrets of solo racing". it teaches great driving fundamentals of both autoX and road racing. Nothing really on passing, but you usually need to learn that on your own. The "Unfair Advantage" is another good book too.

Re: Low turnouts
I think a spec tire is a good idea. I know I can't afford new tires for my car. I also think we need more people like Bob Tupper who has a prize raffle every race and everyone wins something at least $25 or more, most are gift cirtificates for vee parts but people donate cash too. Its like getting a...

Re: Low turnouts
The two problems with getting young guys racing are cost and the work required. Its alot of work to prepare a Vee especially if you crash it even once. Not to mention the work and time required to get to a race, a tow vechile and trailer are expensive too. Most guys my age would rather throw an inta...

You don't need to change jetting morning vs. afternoon. Basically the engine builder sets the jetting on the dyno and it usually works for almost all conditions.
