Central Florida - FV Parts

I have lots of FV parts left over from building 4 cars. Because of health I am not able to ship all this stuff so I will only sell it to someone who can come get it. I am near Orlando. I would prefer selling it all and I will give you one heck of a deal. All of it $350. Heads, carb and intake are wo...

Re: 1968 ASP FV or parts

Everything is gone. Gave the ASP with front beam, transaxle and suspension to a Friend who helped me with my FV over the years.
Gave the 2 transaxles and 5 sets of FV exhaust headers to 2 other FV guys who helped me.

Thanks to everyone else who gave me advice and help.

Do you still register if you are not bringing a car or do you just pay at the gate?

Re: Brazil VW Pistons & Cylinders

I guess I don't understand the feeling by some people on this board that individuals can not build a motor correctly. You don't know me. You have no idea what I have done or can do. And, you did not bother to ask. I have been building engines since 1968 and not street engines but drag racing, road c...

Where do you gain the most HP

Thinking about how you take a 40hp engine and get 60+ out of it while staying within the FV guidelines. Where does the majority of the gain come from? Also, what makes the engine go from a 5000 max RPM in factory stock form to 6500+ and still not fly apart. I know it is a combination of all of these...

If you haven't done it already, go thru the posts on this board. You will see that a lot of folks have been in your shoes (I'm one of them) and there is some great information here. Also.. Don't be afraid of asking questions. There is no other place that has more people willing to help you than here...

Re: Where do you test a new car?

Does everyone start out at level 1 and then progress to the higher levels or can you start at level 2? Getting that second person in my FV is going to be a problem as I barely fit in there by myself!

Re: Where do you test a new car?

I googled SCCA TIME TRIALS and could not find much about it. Is it like an autocross without the cones and one car on the track at a time)?Anyone know what it is all about?

Re: Where do you test a new car?

So... the aluminum wedge-shaped tank/seat back in my 69 Zeitler is a fuel TANK, and not a fuel CELL??? I think I am good except for the harness. I have one but it is more than 5 years old, was going to get it re-webbed. I have a fire bottle and an extinguisher. Don't think I can get it ready in 2 da...

1969 Zeitler getting there

My Zeitler is starting to look like a car again. I hope to get it to an autocross next month to test it out. After drivers school in the spring, I hope it will be ready to take to the track to run my 2 races with a Novice license. Installed the removable steering wheel, switches and wiring, new thro...

Re: Where do you test a new car?

fv95. Thanks for the TT info. When I read the Roebling TT requirements, it just said must have a comp or novice license and I thought it meant SCCA Comp Novice, not TT Novice. I will look into it. I just want to see how it runs and what I need to tweak. I am hoping to get the car to tech early next ...
