Re: June Sprints/Lowest entry since 1963

There are a lot of cars not running SCCA anymore, for many of the reasons mentioned here. Some clubs are really trying to cater to the FV group, more track time, longer races, open wheel only. The SCCA is a business, they will continue to put the small fields in where they can, or in the FV case hav...

There is a lot going on with FV in 2010 here in the northeast. The season has started, but the real buzz is about what is coming here. The FRCCA will have 20 lap races for FV. They run Pocono North, Summit Point (Main & Shenandoah) and both NJMP tracks this year. one opportunity is EMRA FV's run...

Re: My letter about the FV spec intake

I joined the FV ranks last year, would love to make it to runoff's one day and be competitive. Between now and then some things will most likely have to change. I submitted a question about this subject in the novice area last year and I think a lot of us were able to learn and understand a lot abou...

Need a winter checklist

I am looking for a good winter checklist, my current one is just to check everything, but I am sure someone has one that is organized. Might prevent taking things apart twice?
Thanks

Re: Summit Point Aug 22,23

We had another great weekend, a little too wet Sat. afternoon with the Qual. turning into a spin fest, though the older and wiser Doug M. went out and drove around the track (we all went out to race) and although he never passed a car on track he passed everyone! A true case of the slowest car winni...

Re: Summit Point Aug 22,23

Matt: We are at 4 confirmed, I expect two or three more. Even if we don't get 6 John already made the schedule change, (if we would have to run with the Tyro's we can elect to have a split start too). We can meet with the Tyro's Sat. morning at the drivers meeting, the guys in the club have always w...

Re: Summit Point Aug 22,23

Great news, Steve and Matt. I spent the last two days over at Pocono double Natinal crewing for a GT1 Camero until we took a rock through the radiator on lap 3, and of course we can't fix it by tomorrow. I'll spend tomorrow on my car, the trans change project just keeps getting bigger, so I'll have ...

Re: Axle or Drum Leak?

You should be good now Steve, unless you let Matt modify your header. I had the same problem early this year and the seal kit I got from Dietmar fixed it right up. I'm putting new ones in the trans I am installing now just to be sure.

Re: Summit Point Aug 22,23

Let us know when you finally decide, John will work with anyone to help them make it. The FRCCA even has a payment plan they publish at the begining of the year to help us. It's very cost effictive if you need to sort out your car as well @ $2/mile and 4-5 on track sessions per day. Hope to see you ...

Re: Oil Sump Rule Change

An accumulator system only needs a few seconds of oil to protect the engine in the turns, 4 quarts (extra) is way too much.

Re: Oil Sump Rule Change

Why not use an accumulator? like accusump, it will maintain positive oil pressure and we don't have to worry about the other guy having another 1 HP. Correctly built engines don't need a dry sump and synthetic oil works fine at the higher temp.

A FV only race on the track designed by 1970 Formula Vee World Champion Bill Scott.

If you plan on attending please send me a PM, or register at: http://www.frccallc.webs.com

We need a count to schedule this with the track. John developed a new schedule for a FV only race Sat. & Sun.
