Re: Lynx B rear suspension pics
In the stuff I got with the car I found a set of Lynx assembly instructions from '73. Looks like my trans/engine mount is different. It also looks like my shock mounts and z-bar mounts are swapped. http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h407/TigerBob86/LynxB/NewLynxB004_zps089a16cc.jpg http://s1108.bet...

Re: Lynx B hammerhead nose
I emailed Fred and he recalls that Harry McDonald ran the first one at the '74 runoffs. I was hoping for '72 for the RMVR cutoff.

Lynx B hammerhead nose
Does anyone know when the hammerhead nose started replacing the narrow nose on Lynx B's?

Wanted: cyl/head air scoops
Does anyone have a pair of air scoops to direct air over the cylinders and heads? The ones I have do not flow enough air and I'm not handy enough with fiberglass to make them.
Thanks,
Bob

WTB: Fuel cell
I need a wedge fuel cell for my Lynx B. Base needs to be 14" wide or less (13" preferred) to fit between the frame rails. The 16" wide cell that was crammed in there is leaking like a sieve.
Thanks,
Bob

Re: WTB vintage style Lynx B body
Ok, I found a mid-section locally. Now I need a nose (prefer non-hammerhead) and a tail.

Re: Hoosier R55 vs Goodyear vs Avon
When I bought my Caldwell D-13 this summer it came with a 'new' set of Avon's. By new, I mean probably 3 years old but never used. They actually seem to be a pretty good tire. They were pretty slippery at first but once they were heat cycled a couple of times they seem pretty decent. I also had a se...

Hoosier R55 vs Goodyear vs Avon
I'm just curious how Hoosiers, Goodyear, and Avon compare as far as grip, predictability, longetivity. I don't know specifics about which compound for Goodyear and Avon so whatever their latest is. It looks like Hoosier is the current tire to have but I can get Goodyears for much less. Thanks for yo...

Re: wheels and tires for Auto-X
Ahh, I didn't realize there would be much of a difference between a radial and bias ply.

Re: wheels and tires for Auto-X
Ah yes, I meant backspacing. Offset is such a strange way of referencing a wheel.
I wasn't sure if the R25 compound would heat up fast enough or if you guys were using an A6.
Thanks for the info.

wheels and tires for Auto-X
Howdy, I'm thinking of running the ol Vee in some autocrosses and I'm wondering what size and offset of wheels are commonly used and what brand and size of tires. I'm also curious about tire pressure.
