Thanks. I talked to sr racing wher ei bought them they suggest with propper break in io should be fine, and break in instructions come wioth the box. I will visually instect the shoes agianst the drums to make sure they are not to far off and match shoes to best fitting drum. They get shipped today,...

thanks kevin, there is a company in town that will do it , wondering if it is better to take them in and have them done or if your ideas of doing them while driving if fine , i will check with the supplier for their recomendations

DOES ANYONE ARC BRAKE SHOES
I have heard of a couple of the local guys here talking about having the brake shoes arced to the drums. Is this something that is done by most people when installing new brakes on a formula vee.

wondering what horsepower the engines are running , i know stock is 40 hp. what is the range for a reginal engine and what would it be for a national engine. what is the top horsepower getting out of the engines.

Looking to replace the carrera srear shock I have in my vee at this time. Thought maybe someone might have a used one if they upgraded.
Or maybe someone know of a supplier or contact where they can be purchased, looking for double adjustable.

Had a great weekend of racing found all the problems first I taced it back to no fuel coming out of the fuel pump. I removed the pump and found that the the cross pin that holds the inner arm had fallen out, I put it back together although it took me 3 tries to get it right. was running great then d...

I will check the vent. I have had a couple of local guys mention the fuel pump aswell. Our first race is this weekend and there is a friday practice. The local vee guys said just bring it out and we will bring a carb and a fuel pump and get it all fixed up. then I can fix the problem after that. I w...

Thanks for the replies. I think I will be sticking around my home track here in mission ,bc for this year and running all the cacc and icscc with the sccbc. Not alot of experience with engines but yes i know that it will not idle til warm. I do rev keep revving it to keep it running but always dies ...
