AV Gas

After my local airport refused to sell me gas citing a FAA ruling I decided to do something. The first step to file a Federal lawsuite is to send a registared letter giving them 30 days to respond. They have not responded so today I went to the court house and got the necessary paperwork. There is a...

I have too many projects and must get rid of my Locost car. The frame is complete to Ron Chapmans book and is of 4130 steel with a steel underpan. The doner car is a Fiat 124. The engine has new bearing, oil pump and rings. The five speed trans has new syncros. Both the engine and trans are mounted ...

Re: Main bearing specs.

I find it hard to believe that what I thought would be a simple request is so hard. Some of us don't have $600 for a new case and not all of these engines are being built for racing. I have a shop that can line bore the case for me but needs to know the sizes aviable.

If you have or know someone with a lathe take an old brake drum, machine the brake surface off and open the hole to fit a balancer. Mine cost me a 6 pack.

Re: Brazil VW Pistons & Cylinders

I have rebuilt my race engine several times as it needs it. I have also taken my transmission apart and rebuilt it with new syncroes. I have built many engines in my life but I do it as a hobby and to save money on my car repairs.

Av gas

I just got back from an airport where I have been buying my gas for years to be told that he can't sell it to anyone but a registared aircraft. It seems that the EPA has entered the picture because of the lead. The airport owner stated that EPA was showing up unannouced at auto track meets and check...
