Re: 2021 Formula Vee - Provisional Entry Lists Spreadsheet

Alex, I think this is a great idea and thanks for working with us and including the NEFV in your Provisional Entry List Spreadsheet. This is exactly the approach we took here in the Northeast and it was key to our growth. It's the same reason other FV groups have grown. It has two major benefits... ...

Re: HOOSIER CHANGES FV TIRE CONTINGENCY RULES!!

Thanks Steve. Perhaps Hoosier is moving the chess pieces this way as a way to deal with reduced sales from COVID. It's certainly seems that it will be tougher for those that are just making into the lead packs here and there to benefit. That it ties it to how many tires you buy I think is a good bal...

Re: Formula Vee 60th Anniversary

Hi Steve,

I did try to get in touch with Butch through his ApexSpeed thread and e-mail about a month our two ago, but got no response. Us in the NEFV.org group would like too help. Are you involved?

Thanks!

Re: HOOSIER CHANGES FV TIRE CONTINGENCY RULES!!

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the note. I had not seen this. I'll check out the web site later, but do you know if this policy is the same for all of their racing tires, or just FVS?

Thanks,
John

Re: Dissolution of FV Ad Hoc

Alberto, Thanks for posting that announcement. The FV Ad Hoc Committee put in a lot of hours and did a lot of good work in the interest of the FV Community. It was a pleasure and honor working with Charlie, Dennis, Al & Stephen. That I continue to press the FV racers for feedback on topics was one o...

Oct 2018 Committee Note

As can be found in the October 2018 edition of Fastrack news, there is a CRB recommendation to the BoD for an FV Intake Manifold rule clarification. The rule clarification was recommended by the FV Committee in an attempt to make it easier for Tech to measure a manifold. Also as can be found in the ...

Re: May 2018 Committee Note

Bob, The 10/05/2018 Preliminary Tech Bulletin https://www.scca.com/pages/cars-and-rules is the first such announcement of the decision by the SCCA. We all saw it together this morning. Or was it out yesterday - I just heard of it this morning through e-mails and posts. It's not clear what happened b...

The Cheap Date Event has returned to New England Region!

This August 4-5 race weekend is the New England Region of SCCA's Cheap Date Event. Basically, you pay for Saturday and you get Sunday for free - a whole second race day with two more races for free. The idea of the Cheap Date event for the Region is to trade lower cost of entry for more entries. The...

Re: May 2018 Committee Note

Bob, sorry for the delay. Yes, sure thing - I can give a quick update. The Spec Tire testing process and schedule has been pretty much going as planned - at least happening within the time scale that we had hoped. We did get the Phase I testing completed, which happened from January - June. We also ...

March 2018 Committee Note

There was a discussion just last night about the need to get out a post to the community on the FV spec tire testing. Coincidentally, as many of you saw, Steve Davis sent out an FV Registry note to us today with some information, however, Steve and I had not had the chance to connect up to get him t...

Re: Disc brakes

Barry,

Sorry - I've been out of town for while. But, this is the information I have received back. As it states in FastTrack it’s approved for 1/1/19. The BOD considers the matter a done deal and approved it as written.

1964 Autodynamics MK 1 Restoration

We are restoring a 1964 Autodynamics Mk1. We have he enclosed rear tail section - you know, the one that catches the most air! We don't have the correct exhaust for that tailpiece where two pipes come out of each of two holes in the tailpiece. Would anyone have either good pictures or better yet a s...
