Re: FV Intake Manifold Rules Clarification July 2016
I have a question about the manifolds. Why do we go through all this hassle? Why not check the internal volume similar to CCing a head? Have a max volume spec and quit worrying about what the o.d. is. Just a thought.

Re: Help with Trailer Tie Downs
I have a 6' x 12' V nose trailer. I had 4 "D" rings put in the four corners of my trailer. Seeing my trailer is a 6' wide The "D" rings are pretty much inline with the car. I have transport wheels and tires and I use 10" long padded straps that I feed through the wheel slots...

Re: Leading arm attachment
This design has been around for quite a few years. Ronnie made an aluminum plate for the bracket, but several cars have had the push rod out to the wheel vs. somewhere on the trailing arm for a long time. My understanding is the design allows the spring and wheel rate of travel to be closer to one ...

Re: Alternate tire/wheel for FV?
I suggest that you spend some time & money like the rest of the old times and start acquiring an inventory of all parts... that is if you are really here for the long haul. You expect us to make it easy for you at our expense? Evidently the words "alternative or optional" escape you. ...

Re: Alternate tire/wheel for FV?
Can use present steel wheels The present wheels are part of the problem. Finding a straight set of 40 year old wheels are getting harder to do. I am a new driver that doesn't have 30 sets packed away. Plus most 15" performance tires require a minimum of a 5.5" wide wheel. If I understand ...

I think these are real awesome looking wheels and they are 12 pounds each. Combine these with a set of sticky DOT tires and I think they would be a good option.

VW loyalty $1000 cash on new VW Unread postby jphoenix » Thu Aug 13, 2015 10:38 pm So, I went to my local VW dealer because I wanted to replace my aging Volvo wagon with a new VW Golf TDI wagon. They said if I currently owned a VW, I could qualify for the $1000 cash back offer for owner loyalty. I ...

Re: Alternate tire/wheel for FV?
I have a set of wheels and Falken tires ready for the Challenge Cup in 2016. I also have slicks and stock wheels. I like this proposal as it allows for innovation and growth, it also allows those running this option to run majors. The ability to choose will help both camps. What is the "good&qu...

We came down from upstate NY and would do it again tomorrow. We had hauler issues twice on the way down but it was meant to be. We met some of the most wonderful people at the two dealerships we stopped at! They got us on our way and we made it on Friday. Honestly no matter what the event organizers...

Regrettably for sale, the Lazer project.
Ok with great regret I write this add. I have been informed that I will be getting laid off in November from my "real" job. In order for me to continue to race next year I have to liquidate some of my assets. Up for sale is the Lazer project. All the welding jigs, body molds, drawings, and...

Re: Bodywork painting
I have painted race cars, and had them painted for me. I got far more satisfaction out of a little kid coming up to me and saying he loved my car when I did the paint as opposed to paying to have someone paint it. It does take time and a steady hand, but this isn't rocket science any one can paint i...
