Re: Just don't get it!
I have been in FV for the last two years. Have a pretty well sorted car and strong national engines, custom exhaust, etc. This year I am sitting out because I cannot justify $700 or more in tires for a weekend racing against people who put stickers on every race and are dedicated to the never ending...

Citation Roller or Slider FS
I have Citation full roller with short box, new brakes, exhaust, fire system, fuel cell, engine ducting, full bodywork and three noses. Have logbook for it. I ran it as is prior to taking the engine out. Very clean and ready to go, stored inside. I will sell as a roller for $2800 or as a slider (mak...

Re: Citation engine removal
I had mine out on both citations (roll bar braces and engine) and didn't have any problems at all having it resting on the wheels or stressing the trapazoid support.

Thanks for the info. Exactly what I was wondering given the work it would take to put it all together.

Tail aerodynamics?
I have a citation that doesn't have the bottom rear cowling (around trans and back to exhaust end) that I have seen on other cars. I have a generic one that has never been fit to the car and wondering if there is any evidence that having the cowling on is a noticeable benefit vs. running with the bo...

Re: VDF vs. Citation?
Wow. Where was the deer coming from? Looks like it was shot out of a canon across the track or was it hit by a car in front?

Re: VDF vs. Citation?
I have been in a VDF and fit just fine so that isn't an issue. Wondering more just about general experiences/opinions between the two from people with experience.
Thanks

VDF vs. Citation?
I am a relative newby and have spent the last year rebuilding a '95 Citation that has been a lot of fun. I am still learning to maximize the car and it is going well. Question is I have been looking at possibly getting a VDF as a second car/upgrade. Would I be gaining much by going from the Citation...

Re: Front end spring mess
I did get it figured out. I took it all back apart and re-assembled rotating the turkey leg on the spring set 90 degrees and it works perfect. Thanks for checking

Re: Front end spring mess
Thank you for all the replies. I don't think its a binding or torsion issue as the front end moves freely without the shocks/springs in and the torsion bar is completely backed off and free. It may be that I just installed the springs 90 degrees off so I will try that first. I have registered with t...

Front end spring mess
Being a newby I was at the track two weeks ago and the front end was really stiff. Set up was with QA1 damping shocks that I had to compress a lot to get to connect and when connected it took a lot to get any movement in the front end (two guys bouncing on front). Almost like driving a go-kart. Well...

Just an update. After extending the bolt on bracket and straightening out the angle the clutch works perfect. Thanks all for the input and suggestions.

Re: hard clutch?
Finally got the time to get out and work on the car. Pulled the slave off of the bottom mount and it works with ease. Worked the clutch arm on the tranny and it seems to have a full range of motion, I couldn't roll the car around and see if it fully disengages but that doesn't seem to be the problem...

Re: hard clutch?
Forgot to answer your question Jim, when I bought the car it had no engine in it so I'm not sure if the geometry worked before but I would assume so. I guess I know what I get when I "assume". I honestly never tried the clutch pedal before putting the engine in.

Re: hard clutch?
Thanks guys. I will unbolt the slave and see if I have full range of motion on that. I had to push pretty hard to get the bottom bolt in so maybe it is binding up but it didn't feel like that was the problem. If it is, then I will have to modify the entire mounting set up?????

hard clutch?
I have been rebuilding my Citation and have it almost done. We put in the new engine and were bleeding the clutch lines (car has sat for a while) and the clutch pedal wouldn't go down at all unless I braced myself against the roll hoop and pushed backward like a mule! It was really hard to push but ...

Thank you! They are Palermo spacers and I couldn't quite figure out the relationship of the spacers to the free play but understand now. Thanks again.
