Is data really worth it?
Is data really worth it? You be the judge! There are plenty of cars out there with some sort of data system on them. Sadly, the majority of the time it gets used as a fancy dash to replace gauges or used as an over glorified stopwatch. In these cases the expense is questionable. However, even a mode...

$1000 stopwatch?
John: Still using that data system as nothing more than a fancy stopwatch? Joe: Here it comes, you know what's next, look out.... it's a sales pitch! John: No really, most people just don't get their money's worth out of a data system, because they use it as a fancy stopwatch. Joe: I don't need that...

More fun with squiggly lines
A basic data system with G force and steering can generate graphics like this example. Did you know that with just a little training, you could look at these squiggly line and immediately say "Oh, the understeer entering turn 5 was because the braking for that corner was mistimed." Learn t...

True story
You have likely seen the shameless plugs I post here about my data acq classes (which start again on the 16th). But I wanted to share an email I got from someone in the last class. It reminds me of the joke about the guy who buys a chain saw that comes with a guarantee "if it doesn’t cut twice ...

Reading data
When you don't read your data, you don't win races. When you don't win races you start to doubt yourself. When you doubt yourself others will take advantage of you and drive through your line. When others drive through your line $hit happens. Don't let $hit happen, read your data! Hey at least you d...

Probably the next best thing to getting something we already desire, is an unexpected bonus. That is exactly what has happened for many of the people that have attended my Data Acquisition webinars. Data?
You will be hard pressed to find a “bigger bang for the buck” when it comes to more speed than with the data system you already have in the car. It’s just a matter of understanding how to use the software that came with your data system and interpret what the squiggly lines are telling you. Join us ...

I'm looking to get a mini lathe and maybe a mini mill. Wanted to know what you may have or suggest. Lathe could be in the 7X12 or 7X16 range and the mill roughly 8x4x7 travel.
